Light and refreshing, this belgian witbier is made from crisp wheat, noble hops, and subtle spices.
I will tweak this base recipe to recreate a Sam Adams White Ale clone.
Sam Adams White Ale Clone
1 Can Whispering Wheat Weizenbier HME
1 Can Golden Wheat UME
1 Packet SAAZ (In place of Argentine Cascade) Hops
1 Muslin Hop Sack
1 Packet Dry Brewing Yeast (under lid of HME)
My Optional Ingredients
1 Packet Liquid Wheat Yeast (In place of dry yeast)
1 Teaspoon Crushed Coriander Seed
1 Crushed Clove
1 Rind from Small Orange (Cut into strips, removing white from rind)
1 Teaspoon lemon zest
1 Teaspoon Crushed Grains of Paradise Seed
INGREDIENTS: MALTED TWO ROW BARLEY, HOPS, HOP EXTRACT, WATER, AND YEAST (Under Lid).
Fermentation, Carbonation And Conditioning Times:
21 days for fermentation at (68-76F)
21 days for carbonation at (68-76F)
28 days minimum conditioning at 50-70F
02 days minimum in fridge
Fermentation: 01-May/22-May (68-76F)
Carbonation : 22-May/12-Jun (68-76F)
Conditioning: 12-Jun/03-Jul (50-70F)
